A flamboyant narcissist whose meteoric financial success enabled his careless, violent agenda, Thevis justified his transgressions merely as a reaction to the “betrayals” he experienced throughout his life.

If Michael Thevis didn’t regularly commit casual murderers, he may be considered a “good dad” by anyone’s standards. His children had everything and he enforced high academic standards, but most likely because he wanted to be accepted by high society.

Thevis casually committed murders as a function of doing business or as a reaction to what he considered personal betrayals. But mostly just because he wanted his way, and he believed that he deserved respect and admiration for the porn empire that he built - with the help of the people he murdered, of course.

Thevis donated millions of dollars to the arts, to black music artists, and his local Atlanta community. He had a soft spot for children living in poverty, but ultimately his grand gestures (such as donating his mansion and 26 acres of prime residential Atlanta property to the Boys & Girls Club) were rejected simply because of who he was.
